"Eucalyptus Spring" Psalm 32:11
6" x 6" oil painting
SOLD
This painting was inspired by Gregory Condos, a painter from the Sacramento area.  I especially like his pale green sky paintings.  I was fortunate to attend his solo exhibit at the Crocker Art Gallery in 2013. As he was signing his book, I asked him for advice as a painter, and he said, "Relax".  So I did while painting this painting.

"LOVE" a small 6"x6" reminder of what it's all about.

"LOVE" John 3:16
6"x6" original oil painting
I often doodle words in my journal. I also practice calligraphy when writing down quotes of inspiration. These are sometimes in black and white, and sometimes in color, and also can be in a variety of color. It is the Beatle's song, "All You Need is Love", that comes to mind as I look on this painting.

Not Another Eucalyptus Tree!

"Eucalyptus Party in August", Psalm 32:11
5" x7" oil painting
SOLD
I found this delighfully warm, yet colorful. I am wondering when I will stop this obsession with Eucalyptus trees! One thing is, as I paint it over and over, I am forced to find new ways to "see" color amd texture. Enjoy.

Eucalyptus Yellow 5"x7"
Available at Daily Paintworks

Yes, I did revise this one too.  The sky is toned down some and more interesting.

Both paintings are painted with the same palette as previously blogged about. I added two colors to it: Ultramarine Blue and Cad. Lemon Yellow. I think the summer has effected my mood for these two. The still life was a break from the eucalyptus series and I ejoyed it. I liked the way the lemon and cut lime interacted.
