Almost finished - Karin's Knot

Not again!  I usually say that I am "finished" with a painting on an average of three times. Here is the "finished" painting. A 36" x 36" painting commissioned to coordinate with an existing living room.  With an extensive background in interior design, I think this is an area that I can excel in.  Let me know what you think.  I am not completely satisfied with the background. Yet.

Color Comps - Karin's Knot

For the past week I have been struggling with the colors for the painting I have been blogging about and then yesterday, voila, some color comps cleared up many questions.  Here are the comps, and my palette will best simulate the one that is on the bottom, and second from the left.

Karin's Knot value study

Hi Karin,  Here is a post of the progress of this painting. This is a basic value study, so is in Black and white. Much of the details and edge work is left out, but it gives you a general idea of what your painting structure looks like. I hope you like it. :-)
