Inspired by Cypress groves in San Francisco, California, and a feeling of hope that light expresses, this painting is sure to be a welcoming image for many decor styles. My challenge was to paint the dramatic rays of the sun and the trees' majesty while keeping the softness of the morning. This painting is not a depictment of something that I saw, rather of what I wanted it to see. In other words, I made it up and chose not to fully follow "reality" and to bring to you something that you have never seen before.
