House Finch small painting

I have been trying to figure out what kind of bird was singing this cute song in my backyard. Then, while I was painting last week, a little bird with red markings sat outside the window and I wondered if that was indeed the bird with the cute song. It was! Tomorrow I will post the link to his song so you too can hear it.

Still Life Orange for healthy eating! Original 8x8 oil painting

This painting is a perfect size for a kitchen and hangs on the wall without a frame. I just bought a bag of oranges from the farmer's market…I think it was this painting that got me thinking about how a fresh fruit is the perfect snack after all of the cookies and candy I was eating over the holidays.
